We remain in a global health pandemic. In March, DC Health released a revised set of COVID-19 guidelines for schools with updated school operations guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The WTU and our Union allies are working to ensure that these guidelines are followed to the letter and that our schools remain safe for our students and school -based staff.
The WTU and DCPS have established a Situation Room to review all matters related to the health and safety of everyone entering any school building.

The WTU and DCPS meet each Tuesday and Friday to review reports. Each week, DCPS reports back the steps taken to correct any safety concerns.
The reporting form is designed to highlight the areas agreed to in a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed in December to provide safe working conditions, and follows the DCPS Facility Checklist. As you click on an area of the form, a drop-down box will appear to allow you to enter comments. Or simply complete the text box at the end of the form. All reports will remain confidential and no identifying information will be provided to DCPS.
