Which Internet Program is Right for your Students?

OCTO's Internet for All program (EXPANDED eligibility for 1-year free Internet):
For households with a DCPS or charter student, OCTO is still offering its 1-year FREE Internet program (via Comcast or RCN), and they recently expanded eligibility to include households that attend schools in the National School Lunch Program (which almost 90 DCPS schools are part of) or are in Headstart or get public housing assistance. To sign up, text INTERNET to 69866.
This program uses the basic Comcast/RCN plans that provide 50/5 Mbps, which may not be adequate speed for all households.

FCC Emergency Broadband Benefit Program (new program but may only last until fall):
Eligible households can sign up for an internet provider who is participating in the FCC's Emergency Broadband Benefit program, which is temporary and provides up to a $50 monthly internet discount. The program will last until funding runs out.
