We’re in the home stretch of our October Membership Drive, and the momentum is incredible! As of October 23, we’ve reached 86% membership, with schools like Anacostia HS, Athletic Trainers, Houston ES, Noyes ES and School Without Walls leading the way at 100%. Many others are closing in fast, and schools such as Truesdell ES and Cleveland ES have posted double-digit gains since the start of the month. This progress shows what we can achieve together—but we’re not done yet.
Join today and help us hit 90% by November 1! Every member strengthens our voice and our ability to win for educators and students. Remember, high membership means greater leverage for salary increases, improved working conditions, and enforcement of your rights. Stay informed and empowered—WTU is here to protect what you’ve earned. Let’s finish this drive strong!
This week, there are new ways to get involved: share your WTU story on social media, and join our upcoming virtual committee meeting. Your engagement matters—whether it’s recruiting a colleague or amplifying our message online. Follow us on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
Finally, mark your calendar for November 3: Wellness Half Day. Take time to recharge and prioritize your well-being. We’ll share tips and resources to help you make the most of this day because your health matters as much as your hard work.

Congratulation Charles Moore
After 52 years of dedicated service, we celebrate the retirement of Mr. Charles Moore, a cornerstone of WTU since the early 1970s. Charles served under the first six WTU presidents, mentoring colleagues and building strong relationships that strengthened our union. We thank him for his tireless commitment and wish him the very best in this new chapter—thank you, Charles!
