Testify at the Upcoming DC Council Performance Oversight Hearing on DCPS on Thursday, February 27th, 2025

At 10 am on Thursday, February 27th, there will be a DC Council Performance Oversight Hearing on DCPS.  You will be able to testify virtually.

Please note that your testimony will help improve DCPS and ensure DCPS follows our new collective bargaining agreement.

 

Virtual Session for WTU International Teachers

At 4:30 pm on Tuesday, February 25th, the WTU will be hosting a virtual informational session with attorney Nicole Dillard for WTU's international teachers with an H1-B visa. If you are a WTU international teacher with an H1-B visa, you will be able to join the meeting by clicking here.

 

 

This Week Is a Four Day Work Week. Should I Have Four Teacher-Initiated Morning Blocks This Week?

Yes. Article 23.8.5 is clear that four of the Morning Blocks each week are reserved for Teacher-initiated planning.

 

Additionally, per Article 23.8.6. "If a Supervisor causes a Teacher to lose a Morning Block, the Teacher shall receive compensation for the additional workload using Administrative Premium." Click here for a copy of the administrative premium form.

New Collective Bargaining Agreement

We are happy to announce that the new five-year Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) between WTU and DCPS is now available electronically on our website.
