Ignite My Future Spring Global Innovations Project
This spring our Global Innovations Project will focus on Green Infrastructure using the Ignite My Future lesson Resilient Cities as a basis for the project. Students will use computational thinking to design solutions to enhance their communities leveraging green infrastructure. Please reach out if you have any questions. More details and info session meeting links will be shared with teachers that register for the project.

We the People Math Literacy for All Alliance
We the People Math Literacy for All Alliance, in conjunction with the Algebra Project, is excited to announce a virtual working conference scheduled for this July 28th and 29th! We have opened up a Call for Proposals and encourage all interested to submit. Submissions are due April 7th. Please see: https://mathliteracyforall.org/news/2022-we-the-people-math-literacy-for-all-conference-call-for-proposals/ We aim to design a multi-faceted, online conference to honor and explore Bob Moses’ legacy as well as to generate next steps for collaborative work with students and teachers centered in the struggle for K-12 mathematics literacy.

- The Center for Black Educator Development runs a Freedom School Literacy Academy in the summers, offering jobs to high school and college youth. There are online and in-person (Philadelphia) literacy jobs with grades 1-3 youth available for high school age youth in the Junior Servant Leaders program and college students in the Servant Leader Apprenticeship
- Action needed now! Math-literacy & civil rights advocate Bob Moses--Congressional Gold Medal Act: Karen Saxe, of the American Mathematical Society, worked with Rep. Adriano Espaillat (NY District 13) , including his DC staff Monica Garay and Francesco Arreaga, to prepare a “Robert Parris Moses Congressional Gold Medal Act”, which Rep. Espaillat introduced in Congress during the last week of February.
